This specially designed 4,5 cu. ft. Lobnitz Dredge was supplied to the Magadi Soda Co. for dredging Trona in Lake Magadi, East Africa.
Equipped with breakers and crushing rolls, the Trona is broken down to 3,8″ size and pumped through a pipeline 1500 feet long to a shore treatment plant for processing into soda ash.
