Description

Seadrec design and supply a range of dragheads to the dredging industry.

The Seadrec Visor Type Draghead is suitable for dredging most soil types. It consists of two main components; the main body, which is attached to the lower end of the suction pipe, and the visor, which pivots on the main body by means of captive hinge pins mounted within manganese bushes.

The visor is self-adjusting and its trailing edge can be fitted with ‘shoes’. These ‘shoes’ can be adjusted to provide the required aperture between the visor and the seabed. The height of the aperture is governed by the material to be dredged.

The parts of the draghead that come into contact with the seabed during dredging are fitted with special wear resistant shoes.
